Born on 23rd June 1974, the Young Lohana Association of North London was the first ever independent Lohana Youth Body and it has gone from strength to strength since it's conception. Although the Association is now affiliated to its parent body (LCNL), it has its own constitution and holds elections annually. The Young Lohana Association of North London was resurrected in 2006 since its gradual demise and has been progressing tremendously in the last 3 years.  The Executive committee consists of President, Vice President, Immediate Past President, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Secretary and Membership Secretary.

The Committee takes responsibility for ensuring that the Association's aims and objectives are fulfilled within the regulatory framework of the constitution itself. Despite the fact that the Association caters primarily for the youth of North London the extent of its activities is greater and broader.

The Association encourages its members to participate in the events and activities of the Lohana Community more broadly and members of the committee have taken an active part in events organised by the LCNL and LCUK. The Committee is favoured with considerable respect and support from both these organisations.

The YLANL's many activities include social functions, sporting events and diverse activities like the L Factor, talent show.  L factor has been the YLANL’s main annual event, since the formation of the show in 2007.  YLANL believe that the talent in the youth should be expressed and what better way for the youth to showcase their talent than providing them with a platform to showcase their skills.  Through proceeds raised from L factor, the YLANL have also been contributing to various charities in the last few years.

YLANL also hosts a monthly Kidz Klub filled with not only fun and games, but also arts and crafts.  Every month, the Kidz Klub is structured to incorporate various dates in the social calendar and also includes lots of fun for the kids.  Traditionally, our biggest Kids Klub events are Navratri and Christmas where we aim to provide the children with an understanding of the various festivals and also ensure that the kids are engaging in sports and games to encourage their interaction with other children.

Membership of the Association is open to individuals between the age of 16-35 and is free The Association by its very nature evolves from year to year with the ideas and insight of new committee members. Elections are held at the beginning of spring each year and with the elections comes a fresh burst of energy, talent and inspiration.  It is this ability that has transformed the Association from a sub-committee into an independent organisation.
